Pet volunteer

Witnessing, is an experience


It feels all different.



The feeling of, being loved, and loving someone/something. Got me thinking, when I was being a pet volunteer today. Day started out early, went to Lizhen's house, ate, played Wii awhile, favourate pass time hobby!!



After which, we cabbed down to the Pet Farm! It's around the PasirRis area. Along with Bridget, Shihui, Lizhen and Yanming! We were all ready for today's task!



Came along newly made friends- Benjamin (?) and Karen. They sure are nice people. Sure you know they are dog lovers, from how they can take care of the animals! The Pet Farm we went, basically is about pets who were being abandoned, and brought over there where people can look after.



Well, so we went in, and saw alot of dogs and cats!! It really pains, and shocked me when I saw so many cats and dogs over there. At first it seem, normal but most of the pets there were all in quite terrible shape.



Well, we sure made a whole bunch of new friends!! I can't name them all the names but all of them are very nice bunch of dogs! There wasn't a need to look after the cat because they all were nice taken care of.



First, we were all warmly welcomed by the dogs! At first it was quite scary since it's the first time encountering so many dogs at a time! Took awhile to get used to it, and then next was getting started! We had like about 7 or 8 dogs all around us? Quite scary at first, but at the end of the day, enjoyed their companion.



First, Lizhen and I, went to walk the dog! Really it was my first time, virgin experience doing so, but it wasn't too tough. Walked a few dogs, and when we returned, Shihui, Yanming and Bridget was showering the dog! It was pretty funny, like them getting wet but I'm sure they enjoyed it.



Next was feeding them! They had the sugared biscuits, which was really nice! Quoted from Bridget. She stole one, hahaha. Yupp, so feeding was scary because all of the dogs will surround you and pounce on you!! Fr-fr-freaky! Hahah, but didn't took long enough before we got used to it.



After which, we hang out with the dogs, treated them just like our friends! Plus, some of the dogs were so horny! Hahaha, shall not elaborate on that.



Well, it was really a nice experience but this whole bunch was considered as the fortunate among the unfortunate.



The next farm we went, was worse. The pets there, were all from breeders who either left them because they had illness or they were mistreated. It really pains and hurts to see animals being either abused to abandoned because of what happened to them.



The sight, was, making all of us angry and sad at the same time! Angry for what the breeders did, and sad for the animals because they don't deserve a life like that!



For this time, we just cleared the poo and also mopped the floor, and then we just tried our very best to give what they were deprived of- Love.



After a whole day, we left the place around 5, and headed to AMK hub for dinner :)



Karen joined us, and it was really a great day today.



However I must say this.



I really urge all pets owners, do not, EVER abandoned your pets or ill-treat them because they are not just stuffed toys or just some things you can vent your angry on!!



They ARE living things, and since you've decided to keep pets, treat them properly and know the responsibles and commitments needed! Stop all these unrightful doings to animals! They do not owe you a living, at all!!



For those who have pets now, cherish it and treat them like a own pet yeaah? Continue to be good friends and owners because it's always a blessing to love and to be loved.
